The results of studies performed in the last few decades are radically changing the usual marketing communication conceptions and models based on the rationality of consumer and conscious cognitive information processing.

They are reasonably questioned by scientists working in the fields of neuroscience, cognitive and social psychology, behavioural economics, and other fields as well as by marketing and communication practitioners.
